I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

To the family,
When a loved one dies, no words, however reasonable, can take away the pain and void in your hearts. May "the Father of tender mercies, the God of all comfort" give you "the peace that excels all thoughts," during this difficult time in your life. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4; Philippians 4:7)He is aware of how your feel so "throw your anxieties upon him, he cares for you."(1 Peter 5:7)He says: "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces."(Isaiah 25:8;Psalms 83:18)He says: "There will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up!" He says: "Your dead ones will live!(Daniel 12:2; Isaiah 26:19) So, although you are hurting, these promises are reliable because they come from Jehovah, and it is "impossible" for him to lie." Whatever he says will come true.-Titus 1:2; Isaiah 55:11.
