Obituary of Travis D'Wayne Brevell

Travis D’Wayne Brevell, 71, of Benton, passed away on February 16, 2019 in Shreveport.

A memorial will be held at Boone Funeral Home 2156 Airline Drive Bossier City, LA  71111, on February 23, 2019 at 3:00.

Travis was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Otis Peter Brevell and Erna Estelle Bolton on September 17, 1947.  He went to Stephen F. Austin High School and graduated in 1965.  He worked as a Machine Operator for General Motors for 17 years.  Travis was an Air Force Veteran who served during Vietnam War.  He was the Fourth District Commander of Northwest Louisiana.  He was also the Commander of the American Legion, Post 202.  Travis was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, hunting and fishing.  He received several Veterans awards and honors.

Travis is survived in death by his wife, Jean Leonardi Brevell of Benton.  His sons Brian and Shane and daughter, Gina.  Also his brothers James and wife Cathy, Ken and wife Tammy, and sister Sandie.  Also his granddaughters Paige and Kayla and several nieces and nephews.
