Henry "Hank" Groll entered his heavenly home May 24, 2011. Born in Nacogdoches Texas June 11, 1937. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Ona Groll, brothers Dan & James Corley. Survived by his wife of 51 years Sherry Trice Groll, sons Carl D. Groll & wife Cindy, Brice R. Groll, daughter Stacey Groll DePrang & husband Wendell, & special son Donnie Dickerson & wife Julie, also Hanks pride & joy was his grandchildren Jordan, Abram & Landree DePrang, & Tanner & Grayson Groll. Siblings Bill Corley, Betty Munro & Mary Hibbard. Hank played football in college & for the U.S. Marine Corps. Hank was passionate about coaching kids for 45 years including his sons & grandchildren. Hank loved people, loved the Lord and spent his final years helping establish Heart of Hope Ministry, where a youth football stadium is named in his memory. Hank attended Calvary Baptist Church with his family. Thanks to Dr. Bob Massingil, his nurse Pam, and all the staff at Schumpert who he loved. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church. Officiated by Pastor Rick Edmonds. Memorials can be made to Heart of Hope Ministry or Calvary.
