Obituary of Paige T. Hudson

Shreveport - Funeral services for Paige T. Hudson, Sr. will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery West. Officiating will be Rev. Buddy Keeth and Rev. William Kincaid.
The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport.
Paige, 86, went home to be with his Lord on May 10, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Morton, Texas on October 1, 1927, Paige returned with his family to Gary, Texas where he grew up. After graduating from Gary High School, he proudly served his country in both the Air Force and Army. Following his military service, he had a long career as a salesman in a variety of industries. In his spare time, he loved family gatherings, ministering to others, camping, fishing, hunting, attending Indian Pow wows, and bluegrass music festivals. He enjoyed listening to Southern gospel music and reading his Bible.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a twin brother, and three sisters. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Mollie Hudson; daughters, Marilyn Green and husband Barry, and Rebecca Martin and husband Jimmie; son, Paige Hudson, Jr.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Huey Hudson and wife Marie; sister, Loma Gay Holmes and husband Fred; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Guest House, and Willis Knighton Hospice.
