Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Margie Ward Stuart will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery West. Officiating will be Rev. Stanley McGee.
The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport between 6:00 and 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 2, 2013.
Margie, 78, entered heaven July 1, 2013 with her daughter holding her hand. She was a true lady that loved her family. Her character strong as an oak and sweet as honeysuckle, whichever the situation called for. She loved her Lord and showed her love by singing gospel songs
Margie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Dwight Stuart; parents, Elmer and Eursa Ward; and sister, Shirlene McIntyre. She is survived by daughter, Lorraine Free and husband Michael; son, Eddie Stuart and wife Kellie; grandchildren, Jessica, Josh, and Michael, Jr., Heather and husband John; great-grandchildren Jillian, Janna, Noah, and Anslie; sisters, Glynn Pearce and husband Charles, Margaret Barnhill and husband Kennith, and Earlene Cantrell and husband Bert; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
