Jean Marie (McCormick) Broussard
Services for Ms. Jean Marie Broussard will be held at 11a.m., Monday October 16, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Karl Klaus and Rev. Uriah Oxford. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. till start of services at the church on Monday October 16, 2017.
Ms. Broussard, age 69, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Promise Hospital of Bossier City. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, IA on July 8, 1948, the daughter of Leo Francis and Dorothy Marie (Kenyon) McCormick.
Ms. Broussard was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Mt. Pleasant, IA. and a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, TX. She was an active member and treasurer of The United Methodist Women, Karen Eskew Circle at First United Methodist Church of Bossier City. Ms. Broussard regularly attended bible studies at church. She loved to sew and crochet, often making things for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stacy Wells and husband Jason Wells of El Dorado, AR, and Melinda Broussard of Bossier City, LA; three grandchildren, Emerson, Nola and Benton Wells; her mother, Dorothy McCormick of Mt. Pleasant, IA: two brothers, Larry McCormick and wife, Docie of Boalsburg, PA and Jim McCormick and wife, Shauna of Mt. Pleasant, IA: sister, Liz Wenger and husband Howie of Iowa Falls, IA; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be made to United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church of Bossier.
