James Dorman Smith, age 55, of Shreveport, LA., went to be with his Lord and Savior on 07/31/2015. Visitation will be Friday August 7, 2015, at 6pm. Memorial Service will be at 7pm at Boone Funeral Home; 2156 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA. James D. Smith was born in Shreveport, LA to Ted D. Smith and Rose Marie Hopkins Smith on July 1, 1960. He attended Woodlawn High School and graduated in 1978. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He then worked as a telecommunications technician and as a truck driver for most of his life. James D. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Ted D. Smith. He is survived by his mother, Rose Marie Hopkins Smith; two sisters, Debby Causey and Peggy Causey and husband, Mark Causey; five nieces and nephews, Heather Causey Glovier and husband Chris, Kyle Causey and fiance' Katie, Christopher Causey and wife Brittany, Cody Causey, and Stephanie Causey and fiance' Jonathan; great-nephew, Justin Dakota Glovier; great-niece, Hayley Grace Glovier; and great-nephew, Beaux Alexander Causey. Jimmy loved his family, friends, and his two dogs, Jake and Amber. He always lived life to the fullest and will be forever remembered in our hearts. He was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed until we meet him again in heaven and what a glorious reunion that will be!
