Obituary of Eleanor Mibeck

We are saddened by the passing of Eleanor "Miss Ellie" Mibeck who went to meet her Lord and Savior on June 17th at 11:42 pm . She was born in Merced, California on Aprl 21, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Jack M. Mibeck. She is succeeded by her daughters, Cynthia Collins Lee, Jacqueline Talbert, Judith Ann Holc-Cambell, her grandchildren, Andrea Nicole Krogman, Joshua Barton Swain and her great grandson, Jonathon Lenard. Miss Ellie loved life. She had a smile that could light up a room and she shared that smile with everyone she met. She was passionate about golf having played since she was 13. Miss Ellie did not want a funeral and she did not want people crying over her death. Instead, we will honor her with a memorial service on July 12 at 2:00 PM followed by a celebration of her life at Palmetto Country Club in Benton, La. She was a member there for many years and she loved to play the course. It is fitting that we should gather there to celebrate her life.
