Obituary of Margaret Shadow

Bossier City, LA-Mrs. Margaret Louise Shadow entered into rest at the home of her son on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the age of 89. She was born January 18, 1920 to Grace Call Davis and Clarence H. Davis in Sword?s Creek, VA. She was a devoted wife and mother who also worked for Schumpert Medical Center for a number of years. She was a charter member of Barksdale United Methodist Church in Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Shadow, her brother, J.C. Davis, and her son-in-law, Tim Rauch. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Mary Katherine Jameson and husband Robert of Kingsport, TN; her son, Robert W. Shadow and wife Sue of Benton, LA; her daughter, Margaret Rauch of Houma, LA; sisters, Ruby Dye of Knoxville, TN, and Bette Sanders of Memphis, TN; granddaughters Kathy Jameson Savage and husband Ken of Nashville, TN and Shannon Lovell of New Orleans, LA; grandsons Alan Shadow and wife Amber of Nacogdoches, TX and Brian Shadow and wife Kelly of Shreveport, LA; great-grandchildren Katherine Kolbe Savage, Sarah Elizabeth Savage, Logan Alisabeth Shadow, and Brayden and Hailey Rose Shadow. Pallbearers will be Robert Jameson, Alan Shadow, Brian Shadow, Glynn Osment, Don Ellerbe, and Walter Webb. Visitation will be at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Boone Funeral Home with burial at City Cemetery in Minden, LA at 2:30pm. Services will be conducted by Rev. Lynn Malone of Benton United Methodist Church and Rev. Paul Carroll of Barksdale United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Schumpert Hospice, Robyn Watkins, Debbie Purvis, Naomi Slone and Lillie Bridges for their kind devotion and gentle care during our mother?s final illness.
