Rodney Rothenberger, 69, of Mooringsport, LA passed away on January 20, 2016 surrounded by family.
Rodney was born on November 18, 1946 in Minden, LA to Charles L. and Lillie V McQuiston Rothenberger. He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1964 and went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Electronics Technology from Northwestern State University. He worked as a technician for Baker Hughes for 22 years.
Rodney was a licensed amateur radio operator and a member of ARRL, he also was a member of the KCS Historical Society, and a Master Mason and Shriner being a member of Blanchard Lodge No. 447. He was proud to be the eldest of 8 children and often talked about the special bond he shared with his siblings. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings - Emilie Knox, and husband Matt; Julie Roberts, and husband Ken; Debbie Ware and husband Rick; Paulette Treece and husband Curtis; Karl Rothenberger and wife Jeanie; Kevin Rothenberger and wife Robin and Kathie Moreland and husband Kenny, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
