Shreveport- Funeral Services for Nancy MaeLynne Scogland 58, who passed away suddenly on December 15th, will be held December 29th 11:00am at Heritage Missionary Baptist Church in Bossier City, LA with Pastor Cole Melton officiating.

 

Nancy was born in Columbus, Ohio to parents Mary Ellen Cole and Arthur Alvin Long. She was the youngest girl of six siblings. She loved crafts, bargain hunting, music, and cooking. Nancy was also a proud member of JROTC and spent a few years as a security officer. She later worked in retail. Nancy had a smile that could make anyone's day and touched many lives. She was kind-hearted and never shy of lending a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

 

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Alvin Long and sister, Bobby Jean Long. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Carl Scogland Sr of 26 years; daughters Nancy Watson and Kayla Scogland; Step-Son Carl Scogland Jr; sisters Garnett Evans and Dorthy Long;  brothers James Long and William Axenfield;  and many other grandchildren, nieces, nephews , family and friends.
