Services for George F. Risty, Sr., sixty-five, of Benton, LA will be held on December 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Justin Haigler, assisted by Bro. Paul Summerlin. Burial will follow in the Rose-Neath Cemetery in North Bossier. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. Mr. Risty passed away on December 8, 2011 at Willis-Knighton in Shreveport, LA. Survivors include his wife Hilda Risty; son, Ricky Risty; daughter Katie Ryan and two step-daughters, Gwen Day and Shannon Weldon and five grandchildren: Mary Adeline Melder, Maggie Ryan, Macie Ryan, Jacob Ryan and Brody Weldon; and one sister, Jace? Dawson. Pallbearers will be Johnny Byrd, Paul Summerlin, Edward Bohannon, Tim Vaught, Greg Gates and Mark Weldon.
