Obituary of Vicente Diaz

Services for Mr. Vicente F. Diaz, Sr., will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2005, at 3:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Blankenship officiating. The family will be receiving friends Saturday from 5-9 PM at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier, and again on Sunday at Shady Grove Baptist Church from 1:30-3:00 PM. Mr. Diaz passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2005. He was born on January 1, 1927, in the Philippines. Mr. Diaz was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather who always thought of others first. He was generous in every sense of the word. Mr. Diaz served the U.S. federal government for 24 years at Clark AFB in the Philippines. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior in 1978, and was very faithful to God, and his present church home, Shady Grove Baptist Church. His parents and five brothers preceded in death. Surviving him is his loving wife Buenaflor Diaz, children and their spouses: Teresita and Eugene Tembrina of San Jose, CA, Susan and Arnold Merry of Bossier City, Arden Diaz, Vicente Diaz, Jr., both of the Philippines; sisters: Filipinas Paquing, Julieta Vicente, Emma Fernandez, all of the Philippines; grandchildren: Jean-Paul and Janice Joy Tembrina of San Jose, CA, Arnold, Jr. and Pearl Merry of Bossier City, Heaven Leigh and Cloud Ian Diaz, and Alisa Nicole and Ali Marie Trinidad, all of the Philippines. Pallbearers will be Arnold Merry, Dr. Randy Del Mundo, Ray Veneracion, Herdel Montgomery, Jerry Agsunod, and Arnold (AM) Merry, Jr.
