Mr. Vernon Ray (Bully) Coleman was born October 15, 1943, in Minden, Louisiana, and passed away March 22, 2021, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father Herman D. Coleman Sr; mother, Marie Roten Coleman; two brothers, Herman D. Coleman Jr. and Jerry Wayne Coleman Sr. Vernon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and loved to delight family and friends with his jokes and puns. His quick wit will be greatly missed, by everyone who loved him, especially by his family. He was a graduate of Homer High School and owner of Coleman Appliance Service Co. Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Fulmer Coleman; daughters, Deedre Brooke and husband Ralph, Gini Lu Howell and husband David, Kimberly Coenen, and Kendall Coleman; grandchildren, Lacey Hicks and husband Blake, Tyler Wright, Ben Howell, Lily Howell, Cole Howell, Kate Howell, Mary Margaret Holley, Mason Coenen, and Mills Coenen; great-grandchildren, Blakely Hicks, Bailey Hicks; sister, Barbara Eagle and husband Alvin; several nieces and nephews, cousins; and many other family members and friends. Graveside services for Mr. Coleman will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana, at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Christ the King Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
