Obituary of Dorothy Lane Hammett

Dorothy Lane Baker Hammett was born November 27, 1935 in Coushatta, Louisiana. Dorothy was the daughter of L.C. and Leta Baker. Sadly, Dorothy gained her Angel wings on May 29, 2021 while living in Haughton. Funeral services for Dorothy will 1:00 PM, Monday, June 7, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home. Interment will be in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dorothy worked at Northwest Louisiana State School as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for most of her working years. She married Robert Hammett and they had eight children. When she could she attended Davis Springs Methodist Church.
Preceding Dorothy in death is two children, Sherry Hammett and Bobby Hammett; and her parents. She is survived by children, Larry Hammett, Wendell Hammett, Alan Hammett, Lisa Monzingo, Cathy Cantu, and Anna Gee. He also leaves many great-grandchildren that she loves dearly.
Dorothy will be greatly missed.
