Obituary of Daniel Richard Shirley

Daniel Richard Shirley, of Dubberly, LA was born October 5, 1953, and will live in our hearts forever. He passed on July 16, 2021. He is survived by his two sons, Ben Shirley and Robert Shirley who will proudly carry on in their Dad’s memory. Danny was blessed with two wonderful daughters-in-law, Dana Shirley and Hannah Shirley and he has six beautiful grandchildren, Coen Denny, Ayla Denny, Zoey Shirley, Sienna Shirley, Hartlynn Shirley and Hadley Shirley. He is loved by his attentive brothers and sisters, Jo Ann Harrod, Janie McTaggert, Pat Stevens, Frank Shirley, Sue Draper, Lynn Garza, Tom Shirley, and Jerry Shirley. Tommy Parham and Conrad Reeves are his loving brothers-in-law. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dee Shirley, Maxine Shirley and sister, Lynn Garza. His wonderful and beloved wife, Kathy Shirley passed on in 1997 and Danny looked forward to the day they would be reunited. Always hard working, Danny had a successful career as an Oil Field Consultant. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family. We celebrate a life well lived and are grateful for the love and grace of God. A Graveside Service will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, LA on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 10:00 am.
