Obituary of Sonia Denise Morehead

Sonia Denise Morehead, 56, was born March 17, 1965 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Jerry Wayne Smith and Bonnie Jo Smith. Sonia gained her Heavenly Wings on August 30, 2021 due to a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Sonia was known for her caring heart and sweet soul. Holidays were full of love and wonderful times in the kitchen. Her cooking brought everyone home. Her children will always remember her as an amazing Mom with a smile that lit up the room. When she had spare time she enjoyed breathing new life into old things through crafting. Left to cherish many memories are her husband, Reginald Morehead; three children, Chassidy Comella and husband Michael, Rebecca Shaw, and Brian Stovner and fiance Melissa Medcalf; daughter-in-law, Gina Lawson and husband David; grandchildren, Tristan Camp, Galen Gray, Skyler-Madison Graham, Callie Smith, Braxton Smith, Carson Lawson, Kinley Lawson and Isabelle Smith; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Kate Rowland; parents, Jerry Wayne Smith and Bonnie Jo Smith; siblings, Tommy Smith, Tammie Joe Householder, Harvey Smith, and Kaye Smith; many nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends. Sonia loved her family dearly. She enjoyed each precious moment with her family. Her legacy will continue for many generations to come.
