Obituary of Ian Wayne Derouen

Please share a memory of Ian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ian Wayne Derouen was born June 26, 1992 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Candie Derouen Stewart and Billy Wayne Lalena. Sadly, Ian went home on September 4, 2021 following a vehicle accident. It was Ian’s choice to be cremated. Private services will be held at a later date. Ian graduated from Benton High School in 2010. At the young age of 18, he began a career in the Oil and Gas Industry, as a Service Technician. Known for his loving caring spirit, everyone he met instantly called him friend. He was the father of a son and a daughter that he loved more than anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, and playing cornhole with family. His cornhole playing lead him to start his own team called #RCB. Left to cherish many happy memories are mother, Candie Stewart and step-father Jeff Stewart; father, Billy Lalena and step-mother, Celeste Lalena; children, Landon and Zailey; siblings, Cade Stewart, Logan Lalena; grandparents, Frank and Janelle Derouen; uncle and aunt, Rory Derouen and Danya Valentine; love of his life, Kix Hutchins and son Nash; any many other family members and friends. Ian was so brave throughout his life and passing. It was his decision to give life to others and have his legacy continue through many generations. He was loved and will leave behind many broken hearts. He will be missed.
