Obituary of Billy John Wilson

Billy was born in Haleyville, Alabama, lived in Ruston, Louisiana, but most recently he resided in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Born June 20, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2018.  Services for Billy will be held at the Northwest Veterans Cemetery in Keithville at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 6, 2018. 

Billy proudly served his country as an Army Paratrooper in the 11 Airborne Division in the Korean Conflict.  After the Army, he was a Production Manager in several manufacture home plants in Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas.  He also owned and operated a mobile home moving business with his sons.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Rilla Wilson from Alabama; two brothers, Joe Wilson from Florida, and Tom Wilson from Alabama; sister, Faye Mentzer from Texas. 

He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Cheryl Wilson; two sons, Bill Wilson and wife Gwen of California and Mark Wilson and wife Mona of Dubach, Louisiana; one sister, Alice Hutchison and husband Adrian; one step-daughter, Shelly Langford and husband Jason; ten grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren along with many friends and relatives.
