Obituary of Robert Chandler Logan
Robert Logan, 78 was born August 23, 1939 in Union City, Tennessee to L.C. and Martha Logan. On June 5, 2018, he peacefully gained his wings while sleeping. A service to celebrate Robert’s life will be 3:00 PM, June 12, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Baswell of Westview Christian Church.
When Bob came into a room, his big smile and bright blue eyes gained everyone’s attention. He never met a stranger and would start up a conversation with anyone, as if he knew them. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved teasing friends. During his working years, he was a proud truck driver for FedEx. He truly enjoyed working for FedEx. When he was not at work he enjoyed listening to music and playing computer games. His favorite music was Southern Gospel mixed in with a little old country. After he retired from FedEx, Bob and Diana moved to Lubbock, TX. He loved to play golf, and often he and Diana would hook up the fifth wheel trailer and travel to Rorring Spring for the weekend, and play golf with friends. He also love to visit family, friends, and do tourist things using the fifth wheel. When he was able he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife.
He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Diana Logan; son Robert Logan and wife Jeanette of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Angela Pickett and husband Jared; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two nephews; sister Gail Sawyer and husband Charles of Kennesaw, GA; and many friends.
Bob always said “God comes first in our house.” He loved the Lord, then his wife, his children, his Mother, his sister and brother-in-law. He always referred to his brother-in-law as his brother. Bob’s leaving leaves a void in many hearts, however, he is at peace and experiencing a new world.
