A memorial service celebrating the life of Donna Simmons Ryan, 64, will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Springhill, LA with Brother Chris Lucy and Brad Franklin officiating. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Donna was born May 11, 1957 in Springhill, LA to Billy Joe and Janice Simmons, and passed away on November 2, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. Donna was raised in Springhill, LA and graduated from Springhill High School in 1975. She was a Finance Representative for Newcoast Financial Services and worked for many years in the marine and RV industry. She enjoyed traveling, LSU football and the New Orleans Saints. Most of all she loved being Grammy to Ty and Ava. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Simmons. She is survived by her sons Clint Duke and wife Nicole of Benton, Jeffrey Duke and wife Amy of Benton, and Murphy Ryan of Shreveport; Uncle C.G. “Buddy” Simmons and wife Barbara of Springhill; and grandchildren Ty and Ava Duke. Donna’s Springhill High School graduating class of 1975 will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
