Obituary of Jimmy Don Mills
Please share a memory of Jimmy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jimmy Don Mills, 58, of Haughton, LA, passed away at his residence on November 28, 2021. He was born in Prescott, AR on October 30, 1963 and moved to Louisiana in 1973 at the age of ten years old. As a young man, Jimmy’s mechanical mindset allowed him to develop an amazing talent in the repairs of automobiles, small engines, motorcycles, and anything electronic. His repair craft led him to one of his first jobs as a service technician at Frank Stinson Cadillac in Shreveport. Following that, Jimmy became a route supervisor for Waste Management where he served for 12 years before taking employment as a site manager with Builder’s Supply, where he ultimately retried after 22 years of service. Jimmy will be most remembered for his kind and giving heart, years of dedicated hard work, and goofy sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Marion Dalene Forgey of Haughton, LA; brother, Timmy Mills (wife, Anita) of Doyline, LA; daughter, Jamie Mills Allen and granddaughters, Elizabeth & Dakota Allen of Stonewall, LA; bonus-daughter, Rebecca Rasbury (husband, Kyle) and bonus-grandchildren, Ameena & Amen Saleh; son, Joshua Mills of Little Falls, NY, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA on Friday, December 10th at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
