Dorothy Ambrose was born in Minden, LA to Libeus and Jewel Bible. Dorothy passed away on December 18, 2021 with her family by her side. A graveside service will be held 11:00, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive guests between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home. Dorothy was a homemaker who loved cooking, entertaining her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and anyone visiting her home. She was known for her green thumb and her polite mannerisms. She had a thankful heart that appreciated everyone. Waiting in Heaven for Dorothy are her husband, John Ambrose and son-in-law, Charles Boster. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Penny Boster, and Sallie Eklund and husband Alfred; grandchildren, Dawn Napper and husband Tom, John Eklund and wife Erin, and Scott Adams and wife Rachel; great-grandchildren, Anna Eklund, Aubrey Eklund, Hannah Adams, Sydney Adams, Zachary Adams, and Bethany Adams; siblings, Mattie Lou Bible, and Nell Copes; and many other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, or The Alzheimers Association. Dorothy loved dearly and was loved. Her smile will be greatly missed.
