Obituary of Connie "Kathleen" Carter

Ms. Connie “Kathleen” Carter was born July 21, 1950 to Morris and Adella Carter in Vivian, LA. She graduated from North Caddo High School in 1968 and was a Champion Barrel Racer. She passed away at the age of 71, on December 31, 2021 from a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Mindy Carter (Todd) and three brothers, Morris Carter (Mary), Sonny Simmons (Delores), John Simmons, two sisters, Donna Simmons (Bruce) and Suzanne Bishop. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Cody (Alicia), Zachery (Haley), and Breanna (Colby), and five great grandchildren, Laina, Lillian, Joselyn, Karson, and Colton. She loved feeding her hummingbirds and birds and growing her flowers. She loved spending time with family and friends. Kathleen was owner of Shreveport Electric Motors and was very dedicated and committed to her customers and her employees.
