Obituary of Joel Parker Franks, Jr.

On Saturday, January 8, 2022 Joel Parker Franks Jr, or Joey as we called him, left us to miss him and his smile that you never knew what he was up to. He fought a tough battle with cancer and heart issues. Joey loved his wife Leann Franks of 26 years and sons Eric Arvin and Parker Franks and his new puppy, Mary Jane. Not sure who he loved the most out of that group. Joey is reunited with his parents Joe & Betty Franks whom he missed. Left to cherish him is his brother Michael Franks and wife Kandalyn, sister Carolyn Reynolds and husband Bruce, sister Susan Braswell and husband David. Nephews and niece Jacob Franks, Colby Gordon, Emily Gordon, Max Braswell and Easton Braswell. Joey learned the oil and gas business from his dad at a young age and began working at Natco with him at the age of 18. Joey loved being out in the field and meeting people. You would always see Joey wearing blue coveralls from work or his other favorite outfit of overalls, t-shirt and work boots. He could be found in his barn waiting for his friends to stop by, working on Parkers Camaro or one of his Jeeps. We would like to thank Doug for all he did to help Joey the last couple of years. We will celebrate Joey’s life with a memorial at a later date.
