Mrs. Lisa Kay Martin (née Richard), of Keithville, LA, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the age of 59, surrounded by her family. Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, and Best Friend. Lisa was a breast cancer warrior and survivor and fought so valiantly with all her might this second time, till a holy light illuminated her room, calling her home to her heavenly family. Lisa was born to parents Wilford and Bessie Richard on February 3, 1962 in Carthage, TX. As the eldest of five, she spent most of her youth rearing horses, schooling, loving her family in DeQuincy, LA. On December 10, 1980, she married her beloved husband and friend, Gary Ray Martin and the couple had two children. Lisa worked and was highly skilled in the Apartment and Hotel rental property management for most of her career history until she had to medically retire in 2019. Lisa had a passion for arts and crafts, and could turn anything into a masterful piece of art or jewelry. Lisa is survived by her sons, Christopher Martin, Jared Martin and wife Kayla; her adopted daughter, Lindsay Dillon and husband William Dillon; her brother Roger Richard and fiancé Ann Peavy, two brothers and one sister; four granddaughters, Sara Martin, Allera Martin, Madison and Mackinzie Bollinger. As well as many aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, brothers/sisters-in-law. And her sweet little fur baby Pierre, who misses her greatly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Bessie; her nephew Rodney Richard; and multiples of beloved cousins, aunts and uncles. She will be greatly missed by her all family and friends. Her memory and soul will be forever in everyone's hearts. Our eternally bright star.
