Juanita McDowell passed away June 21, 2022, at the age of 74, surrounded by family. She was a resident of Haughton LA for fifty-six years. She was born to Golden and Myrtle Yarbrough on October 5, 1947, in Paris Texas. She is survived by her son Mark McDowell, grandson Cody McDowell, nephew Michael Fulbright, and Gunner Fulbright (Monkey Toes), her brother Bruce Yarbrough, sisters Alice Arnold, Patricia Mosley, and Sarah Peterson, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth Yarbrough and Jimmy Yarbrough. She worked at Bennett Truck Transport as terminal manager. She was intrigued as a young girl by the many trucks that passed by the fields, which led to her career in the Trucking industry. She retired from Bennett Truck Transport on January 1, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at Boone Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:00 am, and burial will be at Haughton Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2022 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
