Obituary of Steven Joseph King

Please share a memory of Steven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our dear brother, Steven Joseph King, walked into the arms of His Lord on June 19, 2022. Steven was born in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1966. He relocated to Louisiana at a very young age. Steven was well known and well liked in the Haughton area. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician for may years and for many companies in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Everywhere Steven went, he made friends. Steven was predeceased by his father, John Hafer King, and his mother, Dorothy Bushery King Willeford. His sister and brother, Patty Shelton and Wayne King, also predeceased him. Left to honor his memory are his siblings: Debbie King Evans (Gene), Janet King Ussery (Terry), John King (Caroline), and sister-in-law Susan King. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. His memorial service will be July 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Haughton, 105 East Washington Avenue, in the main sanctuary. A short visitation will begin the service followed by the memorial service. It is open to everyone who wants to come meet the family and share in the joy of remembering what Steven meant to all of us. His passing was a great shock, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Steven’s wishes were to be cremated. He will be interred at Hill Crest Cemetery Haughton this Fall in the family plot.
