Haughton, LA-Lurain Grounds, ?81?, was born April ?24?, ?1928 ?in Sabine Parish, LA and passed away January ?25?, ?2010 ?at her residence. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She served as pianist in numerous churches over the years and recently attended Belle Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Grounds was survived by her son, Ed Grounds and wife Joyce; daughters, Lora Smith and late husband, John, Virginia Disotell and husband Robert, Brenda McCart and husband David, and Debbie Davis and husband Mark; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Grounds; sister, Della McGee Holley; and brother, W.W. McGee. Funeral services will take place ?at 11?:?00am Saturday at Broadmoor Baptist Church, ?4110 ?Youree Drive?, Shreveport?. ?Bro?. Glenn Alderman will officiate with burial in Pleasant Valley Methodist Cemetery in Minden, LA?. ?Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00pm until 7:30pm at Boone Funeral Home. Mike Grounds, David McCart, Bob Grounds, Evan McGinty, Johnny Cortez, David Falksen, Blake Mullins, George Cole, III, and Justin Powell will serve as pallbearers.
