Sam Fernandez Jackson, 56 years old, of Opelousas, LA , passed away on July 7th, 2022 in Bossier City, LA.
Sam was born in New Orleans, LA to Ollie Mae Jackson on November 15, 1966. He went to high school at Opelousas High School and graduated in 1983. He went on to earn a certification in truck driving and worked as a truck driver for over 30 years. Sam enjoyed traveling from state to state, spending time with his family, cracking a good joke & being a father. He received honors from the United States Air Force for his service beginning in 1986.
Sam is survived by his mother Ollie Jackson of Opelousas, LA, and daughters: Diamond & Jakota Jackson of Cecilia, LA; Kelsey Jones of Opelousas, LA; & Amilia Broussard of Breaux Bridge, LA; one son Dontaye Broussard of Breaux Bridge, LA; and one grandson; Omari Jackson. Sam will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
