Tampa, Florida October 5, 2005 5:25 PM I would like to say how sorry I am to lea of the death of Harold. My sympathies to the entire Mustin family, especially Carrie, Beau and Brian. I am so very sorry that I will be unable to attend the services. I know you all understand, but it still saddens me especially when you all were so caring this summer after the death in my own family. I hope you are comforted by the fact that Harold lived a full life and that you all are at peace with him. Your family is in my prayers. Love, Suzanne Fontan

Naperville, Illinois October 24, 2005 10:30 AM Harold Mustin was my friend and bridge partner. When the NABC came to New Orleans. To say that Harold and I had some fun is an understatement ... with family and friends with us - it was bridge heaven - great food, great music & great times. We had some wins and good games (I'll never forget how Harold could play better with several glasses of wine while yelling "Go Tigers" with the LSU game updates - we were in a hairs breath of being kicked out of the touey (being too loud) -- we ended up winning. The absolute best Harold moment, was when we were playing in the Life Master's game - we play two boards against a world champion - Harold made a fantastic bid and play of 6nt (for a top score) ... the famous opponent was growling and slapping the cards down. Harold always played bridge as he saw fit and no better partner have I had at the table. In the last year, I was recovering from surgery. He told me that he had the same operation when they discovered the cancer within him. What do you say when you hear that news? Harold never sought sympathy, life provides no easy answers, Harold consoled me. As measure of a person is how one's friends and family think of you. Harold Mustin is on top of Mount Everest in my mind. God's grace and peace be with his family and friends.
