Graveside services for Anniece Butcher will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Forest Park Cemetery West. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. M. Theresa McConnell of Lakeview United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, LA. Anniece was born May 8, 1932 in Shreveport to Tribble and Hazel Sanders. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1951 and married Thomas Butcher on September 24, 1951. She devoted her life to her family and friends. Everyone knew her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anniece is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Thomas Butcher of Shreveport; daughter, Renae and her husband Dale Massie of Temple, TX; grandson, Christopher Massie and his wife Samantha and their daughter Kimberlee of St. Mary?s, GA. The family would like to thank the Lakeview United Methodist Church family for all their support and prayers during her illness. They would also like to thank the St. Joseph Hospice staff for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church, 5550 S. Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, LA 71119. She will be missed by all that had the honor of knowing her.
