Obituary of Bascom B.H. Toney

Blanchard--A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00pm Friday November 3rd, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home Bossier City for Bascom H. Toney (known to friends and family as B.H.) The family will receive friends between 11:00 am and service time. A private ceremony will be held immediately after at cemetery for his immediate family. Any friends wanting to join family later for more visiting and remembrance can do so at the home of his daughter Kimberly that evening after 4:00pm B.H. was born December 10, 1936 to Marie and Johnnie Toney in Camden Ar of which he was raised. At the age of 18 he joined the Air Force and served 8 years during the Korean Conflict. Although he did not serve in combat, his job was just as important to the security of this great Country. Sadly he passed away peacefully at the age of 80 with his daughter Kimberly by his side. B.H. was preceded in death by Granddaughter M'Lisa Bale, brother Edward W. Toney, sister Nettie Gibson and his parents. Left to cherish many happy times and memories are his daughters, Debra Toney, Kimberly Langley and husband Al, son Shawn A. Toney and wife Sandy, former spouse, Mother of his children and friend, Marti Toney, four grandchildren which were his pride and joy--Jace Porter, Jordan Denler, Kayla Toney, Courtney Miller and husband Kyle, great granddaughter Joplin Denler, brother Doyle R. Toney, sister Ann Hall and husband Floyd, and many nieces and nephews. B.H. was a private man who did not realize the impact he had on his family, friends and community. His memory will always be alive in those that knew and loved him. It was B.H.'s request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital A special thanks to his nephew Bubba Toney for your extra care of "Uncle B"
