Obituary of Jeff Parnell

Jeff Thomas Parnell Shreveport, LA A graveside service will be held for Jeff Thomas Parnell, 89, Saturday, November 3, 2012, 9:00 AM at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, 623 Hwy 80 East, Monroe, LA 71203. Officiating will be Mark Henderson of Natchez, MS. Mr. Parnell, formerly of Vidalia, LA, was an Army WWII Veteran and was a lifetime member of the DAV Post 16 and the American Legion Post 4. He retired from the Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company after 28 years of service as a sheet metal worker. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local 303. Mr. Parnell was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lula Bernice West Parnell in 1995. He is survived by two children, Jerry Parnell and wife Barbara of Longview, TX and Carol Sue Parnell of Port Allen, LA; four grandchildren, Tommy Parnell of Dallas, TX, Butch Parnell and wife Katy of Shreveport, LA, Bradley Parnell and wife Elizabeth of Shreveport, LA, and William Burris of Port Allen, LA; four great-grandchildren all of Shreveport, LA, Mallory, Jon-Michael, Madelyn and Emily; and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Parnell will be remembered as a very caring and loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Friend.
