Obituary of Charles Ayon
Charles Lewis Ayon, Sr. was born on December 11, 1935 in Santa Barbara, California and resided in Princeton/Bossier City until he went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2020.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Edmund L. Ayon, mother Jane Watts Lafette, brother David Lafette, son Charles Ayon, Jr, son Robert Ayon, son Danny Ayon and his son Thomas Catchings, Jr. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years Sara Ayon, son Michael Hamontree and Tammy, Daughters Lora Johnson, Debra Catchings, Sylvia Bonnaci and Mike. His grandchildren Nichole Ayon, Luke Ayon, Bobby Watts, James Watts, Crystal Watts, Michael Bonacci, Angel Bonacci and Pricsilla Johnson and Angel Hammontree as well as 9 great grandchildren. He also left behind his brother Robert Lafette, Jr., John Lafette, Bonnie Lafette and Billie Lafette along with many nephews and neices.
Charles was a good husband to Sara and took on her children as his own when he married her. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed visiting his great grandkids. He liked fishing and spending time with his friend Rodney. He served in the air force, drove trucks, but ended up retiring from the city of Shreveport as a heavy machine operator. Charles will be missed by his family, but we know that we will be reunited with him again.
