Bossier City, LA - Howard W. Stanfield passed away peacefully on October 25, 2012. Visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, Saturday, October 27, 2012. The family will be receiving visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Howard was a SMGT in the Air Force where he retired after 23 years service to our country . After his retirement from the Air Force he continued with the Caddo Parish School System as a teacher at the Caddo Career Center where he taught for 20 years. Howard was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Ella Mae Stanfield and brother Todd Stanfield. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma Stanfield, sons, Mike Stanfield and wife Michelle of Bossier City, Greg Stanfield and wife Cynthia Bossier City, and daughter Colleen Wood and husband Kevin of Sylacauga, Al., 5 grandchildren, Christopher and wife Kerri Sylacauga, Al., Ashley and husband Chad of Bossier City, Kalea and husband Chris of Hayden, Al., Kimmie and Aaron, 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Parker, and brother Allen Stanfield of Fredericksburg, Va.. Howard?s family would like to extend their gratitude to staff of Wing 4 at the Louisiana War Veteran?s home for their care and support to him and his family during this difficult time.
