Obituary of Debbie Barnes Cox

Debbie Barnes Cox of Shreveport, LA - 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018 while surrounded by family and friends.

Debbie was born on September 12, 1957.  She was proceeded in death  by grandfather and grandmother, Floyd & Mary Patton; father Carl Barnes; and loving sister, Carla. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, David Cox, mother Joan Festervan, and sister Marilyn Moreno and husband Johnny. She was the nurturing mother of Jennifer, Kasey, and Sarah. Stepmother of Hollie and Amber. Proud Nana of Dayton, Riley, Alyssa, Trinity, Debi-Marie, Kaydence, Jaycee, and Tristian. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Debbie will be remembered fondly by family and friends as an endearing, cheerful, free spirited and loving soul. She radiated with warmth and possessed unyielding strength and wisdom with captivating wit and a sense of humor. She had a love for music and cooking. But her children and grandchildren were her heart. We are forever grateful to God for having Debbie in our lives and she will be sadly missed.

A Memorial Service celebrating Debbie’s life for family and close friends will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:AM at:
