Obituary of Whilman Sheets

Whilman George Sheets was born in St. Amant, LA on February 17, 1918 to Jacob and Addie Little Sheets. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who served his country honorably for twenty-two and one-half years, attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Whilman was a pilot and continued to serve, after his retirement from active duty, becoming a volunteer in the Civil Air Patrol's search and rescue squad.
Whilman leaves to mourn his passing, Margie Sheets, his loving wife of 31 years; his sons Glen Whilman Sheets, Ronald Wayne Sheets and Kim Ray Sheets, as well as his daughter, Brenda Sue Sheets; his step-son Mark Anthony Johnson, step-daughters Sonya Martel Aurelius and Lewellen Dianna Kidder and by his brothers Roland Sheets and Kerney Sheets and his sister Joy Soileau.
Whilman was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Harold Dan Sheets.
The family asks that friends who wish to honor Whilman do so by making a memdorial gift to the Northwest LA War Veterans Home, 3130 Arthur Ray Teague Parkway, Bossier City, LA 71112
Whilman George Sheets was a good and honorable man: he will be deeply missed by his family and by all of those who knew him.
