Obituary of Loyd Lafayette Cooper

Loyd L. Cooper passed away at age 75 on 12-29-16 at Baylor hospital in Dallas, TX. He was born October 7, 1941, to LC & Lurelen Cooper in Walker, AR. He will be greatly missed by his wife Nelda, and his children. He was not only known as a great husband and father but as a Gramp & Papa to many; he touched many lives as well as a coach, encourager, and teacher down through the years as a volunteer through Baptist Christian Academy, Baptist Christian College, and Baptist Tabernacle. He was a member of Baptist Tabernacle from July 1970 till death. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelda Cooper of Shreveport, LA; daughter , Denise Thompson, & husband, Mark of Jacksonville, NC; son, David Cooper and wife Jennifer of Shreveport, LA; and daughter , Shawna Cooper of Bedford, TX; as well as three sister: Mary Delle Hughes and husband Mike of Sherwood, Ark. Carol Carlley & husband, Rus of Searcy, Ark., Sue Blanton and Husband David of Judsonia, Ark. 8 grandkids, 8 great grandkids and many adoptive grandkids. Many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
