Obituary of Charles Joe DeBusk, Jr.

Shreveport- Memorial services for Charles Joe DeBusk, Jr. will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City.  Officiating will be Rev. Dick DeBusk and Dr. Rev. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 10:30 to service time. 

Joe was born in New Orleans on March 14, 1956 to Charles and Anna DeBusk.   Sadly he passed away on April 7, 2018 with his family by his side.  As a child, he moved with his parents to Northwest Louisiana and started his work career.  He spent 32 years as a Permit Specialist for the Louisiana Department of Transportation Development.  In his spare time, he shared his talents and love of music entertaining others by playing his guitar.  Another one of his loves was spending time with his brothers remodeling their homes. 

Waiting for Joe in Heaven are daughter, Melody DeBusk; and parents, Charles and Anna DeBusk.  Left to cherish many loving memories are wife, Shirley DeBusk; daughter, Harmony Spiers; son, Joshua DeBusk; step-daughter, Tina Barney and husband Keith; step-son, Bubba Sampson and wife Amy; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Clinton DeBusk, Steven DeBusk, Glen DeBusk and wife Mary; sister, Jill Smith; and host and nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

Shirley would like to express her appreciation to her sisters, Virgie Anderson and Wendy Lee, and Kathleen Rushford with Amedysis Hospice.  Everyone who knew Joe was blessed with his talents and compassion.  He will be greatly missed.
