Obituary of Ronald Dean Ashby

Memorial services for Ronald will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Blanchard Church of the Nazarene, 251 North Main Street, Shreveport, LA 71107. Inurnment will follow in Blanchard Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Ashby proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne and 82nd Airborne Paratrooper from 1958 to 1962. He served his community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Caddo Sheriff's Department. He was preceded in death by his parents A.D. and Mable Ashby; sister, Grace Mae Yates; and brother Frances Kenneth Ashby. Left to cherish many memories are his wife Janell Middleton Ashby; children, Russell Ashby and wife Deana, Christine Ashby, Tracy Huddleston and husband Carlos, Jason Edwards and wife Beth and Mindy Lockwood; grandchildren, Adam Golsby, Andrew Edwards and wife Emily, Dustin Sanders, Kaleb Sanders and wife Blake, Zachary Sanders, Dylan Oliver, Anthony Edwards, Sherilyn Wright, Hunter Slayton, Garrett Slayton, Emily Wright, Kyleigh Lockwood, and Colten Lockwood; great-grandchildren, Taegan Sanders, Taylor Sanders, Hadley Sanders, Shooter Sanders, and Nolan Edwards; Aunt Imogene, Uncle David, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
