Obituary of Thomas J. Page

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Thomas Julius Page was born June 10, 1944 in Shreveport to Julius Guin and Margie Faye Cassel Page.  Sadly, Thomas entered into his eternal life on March 19, 2020 with his family by his side.

Thomas graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1963.  Shortly after graduation, he proudly joined the Air Force to defend his country during Vietnam.  He spent most of his working years employed with General Motors, where he was known as “T.J.”, and retired April 2009.  After retirement, he enjoyed the great outdoors.  Some of his favorite things to do were golfing, hunting at the deer camp, and fishing on Cross Lake. But most of all, spending time with JoAnne.

Preceding Thomas in death were his grandparents, Norman and Margie Cassil and Frank and Lilly Page; parents, Julius and Margie Page; aunt, Marcel Wiggins; and step-daughter, Roslyn Maxwell Free.  He is survived by wife, JoAnne Maxwell Page; daughter, Ashley Parker; grandchild, Jackson Page; sister, Scheree Page of Shreveport; nieces, Rebecca Stevens and husband Ronnie of Bossier City, and Sammie Bynog and husband Randy of Shreveport; nephew, Jeffery Page and wife Terry of Port Gipson, MS; step-daughter, Sherry Maxwell Free and husband Billy; many cousins, other family members and friends.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.  Cemetery requires masks.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are to be made to Life United Church in his memory.

Thomas touched many during his life.  His memory and legacy will continue for generations.
