Obituary of Timothy Lane Moseley
Timothy Lane Moseley was born on December 9, 1964 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Harry and Barbara Moseley. He departed this life on July 10, 2018 at Christus Highland Hospital after a brief illness.
Tim spent much of his younger years in Port Neches, Texas. He attended Port Neches-Grooves High School through the 11th grade before returning to Northwest Louisiana and graduating high school from Riverdale Academy in 1983, in East Point, Louisiana where the family had moved. Tim was the middle child of his family with an older brother, Randy and younger sister Stacy.
Tim loved music, especially rock and roll and played the guitar. He and friends established a local band and loved playing for people. He attended college for a short time and began dating his soon to be wife Cecile Cason. Tim and Cecile loved going to rock concerts and listening to music. He loved 80’s Rock and had his garage soundproofed so that the neighbors would not complain about their playing.
Tim loved spending time with his family and especially any time they could get away to the beach or out to the southwest. He loved chronicling their trips so everyone could share in his enjoyment. He reconnected with his friends in Port Neches and enjoyed going down and spending time eating and visiting with the people he grew up with. He was such a warm-hearted person and never met a stranger. Mardi Gras was a special time for Tim and celebrating it with family and friends was a yearly tradition. Tim was to welcome his first grand-daughter Mila Grace Overholser within the month.
Tim recently rekindled his love of hunting and was becoming a gun collector. He liked going to Bodcau to target shoot. He was a conservative and shared his political views freely. Tim was a loving, caring person, devoted father and husband, loving brother and son. He was definitely his own person and will be sorely missed by all.
Tim leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Cecile Cason Moseley; daughters, Isabella and Hayden Moseley of Shreveport; his parents Harry and Barbra Moseley of East Point; brother, Randy Moseley and sister Stacy Moseley Ross and husband Brain Ross of Cross Roads Community. A host of nieces and nephews as well as family and friends mourn his passing.
A celebration of life will be held at Boone Funeral Home on Airline Drive in Bossier on Friday, July 20th between 6:00 pm. All are welcome to come and share their memories of Tim.
