Obituary of Edward Mikell Wallace
Bossier City – Funeral services for Mike Wallace, 71, will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 19, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home Bossier City. Interment services will be 1:30 PM in Serenity Gardens in West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Dauphin.
The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM to service time.
Mike Wallace went home to the Lord on July 16, 2019. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 22, 1948. During his teenage years, you could often find Mike racing motorcycles with his friends. As he grew older Mike discovered a great enjoyment for Harley Davidson and would enjoy them all his life. In 1968, Mike joined the Army to serve his country working as a B-52 mechanic. After moving on from the service, Mike would continue working in the mechanical field as an engineer. From 1972 to 2012, Mike would start from an entry level assembly line position working his way up to project engineer designing and re-designing yard trimmers and chainsaws. Throughout his life he would embrace the outdoors and traveling as two of his many passions. From hunting trips around the US to train trips in Colorado, and gold prospecting in Arizona, you could always find Mike on the open road. Mike’s passion for engineering followed him throughout his whole life. Even toward the end of his life, Mike would still continue to tinker, fix, build, and improve any and all mechanical devices near and far.
Mike is preceded in death by: parents Malcolm Wallace and Ola Mae Drummond; Wife Martha Jewel Wallace.
Mike is survived in death by: Daughters Miranda J. Wallace and Kiley A. Wallace; Son James M. Wallace; Step Children Toni and Stan Lyons as well as Kenny and Lynne Davis; Sisters Susan Maxwell and Carolyn Ardoin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
