Carla Smith, LPN Shreveport, Louisiana September 28, 2006 8:45 PM Melissa, Rosemary and Jeannette.. My heart goes out to you all for the loss of your dad. I know the feeling all too well, but I have found comfort over the years in knowing that he received the "ultimate healing"....being at home with the Lord, and God's grace helps you to cope with it. It was such a pleasure to take care of Mr. Thomas...my mind drifts back to the times that he would walk around and snap his fingers and move his hips and dance around the room and say "yeah yeah". It was also a pleasure to get to know each and everyone of you girls...I became especially close to Melissa just because I always called her about things and we developed a trust and a rapport. It is such a blessing to see children take care of their parents and do it so graciously. I know you all truly have treasures in Heaven. It is a loss to me because I had an interest in Mr.Thomas and I grew to love him and those pretty baby blues !!! Just remember Melissa...only the "earthly" sparkle has gone out....but it is shining bigger than ever now in the presence of the Lord. God Bless You all...and keep in touch.
