Bossier City, LA - Eleanor Ray Ross Brown Cottrell, born in Pleasant Hill, LA on September 6, 1927, stepped into Heaven Friday morning, July 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her first husband Clovis Brown, second husband Glynn Cottrell, mother Maudie Dillard Ross, father Dossie Ross, siblings: Cecil Ross Walker, Vivian Ross Nichols, Louise Ross Haire, Grace Ross Cummings, and Andy Dossie Ross.
She was known for being a prayer warrior and had many friends. She took in anyone and everyone no matter their background. She was a fighter and a giver. Gone but NEVER forgotten.
Left to honor, remember and tell her stories are her son, Kenny Brown (Trisha), daughter Pam Anderson (Kenny); grandchildren: Kelly Oswald (Jason), Chad Darnell (Angie), Chris Brown, TJ Brown (Jessie), Megan Brown, Emilie Anderson, Amanda Anderson and Matt Anderson; great grandchildren: Heather, Haley, Dayton, Kaylen, Abby and Landry; a niece who was more like a daughter, Tricia Haire Brown (Gerry) and daughters: Angela, Stephanie, Jessica and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM followed by services at 1:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Shreveport LA. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hwy 174 Pleasant Hill, LA.
