Obituary of David Campbell

David "Pops" Campbell went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 8, 2016. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday January 12th, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, LA. David's family will receive friends beginning at 3 P.M. and the Memorial Service will begin at 4 P.M. David was dedicated husband, who married the love of his life, Mildred "Millie" Campbell forty-six years ago. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. "Pops" was a loving father to his children, who include: Bobby Middlebrook, Jr. of Shreveport; Debbie Boyt and her husband Mitch of Shreveport; Wanda Pridgen and husband Stephen of Keithville; Vicki Adams and husband Kevin, of Keithville; Monica Thomas and husband Troy of Walker, LA; Davi Brooks and husband Chris of Chattanooga, TN; sisters Mary Scime of New York and Gail Oler of Florida. David was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. David is survived by his special friends Fluffy and Bones. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jason Middlebrook, John Pridgen, Joshua Adams, Austin Craig, Dylan Adams, Ian Thomas, Mathu Thomas, Jacob Middlebrook, Bailey Thomas and James Broyles. Pastor Chris Brooks will officiate at the Memorial Service. "Pops" and his family wish to extend a special thank you to Shannon Smith, the entire Hospice team and the staff at the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA for their love and care during this time.
