Obituary of Linda Waites

Linda C. Waites (Pace) passed away peacefully in her home November 14, 2018 in Haughton, LA after a short but intense battle with cancer.  She was 72 years old.

Linda was born on January 17, 1946 in Shreveport, LA to father and mother, Joe and Laverne Pace.  She grew up in a small, loving family with one brother.  In business school, she excelled in bookkeeping and tax preparation.  She retired in 2017 from Accounting & Tax Management in Shreveport, LA.

Linda was a dedicated professional with a love of food and antiques.  When diagnosed with cancer in late July 2018, she remained dedicated to our Lord and in her will to fight her illness.  She remained a brave, loving, head-strong woman, even throughout her final months.  She was loved by many.

Linda is survived by her son, Rodney Pennock and daughter-in-law, Shea, two grandsons, Connor and Cole Pennock; her daughter, Angela Fefel (Waites) and son-in-law, Joey, one granddaughter, Lexi; and her brother, John C. Pace and partner, Faye McCutcheon.  She also leaves behind her nephew, Joe and wife, Sonja; and niece, Ginny Pace-Laughlin.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Waites; and her daughter, Rachel Pennock Coulter.

Linda requested to be cremated.  A memorial service at Boone’s Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA will follow; all are welcome.  The family would especially like to thank the staff and nurses of WK Hospice for their care and love given to Linda during her final months.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to WK Hospice.
