Obituary of Hass Garrett

?PapPap? Coushatta, LA- Funeral Services for Mr. H. Lamar Garrett will be held Friday, January 22, 2010 at 1:00pm at Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, LA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. Mr. Garrett, who went to be with his Lord unexpectedly on January 19, 2010, was a cabinet maker by trade. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and riding his tractor. He loved his children and grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Garrett in death are his parents, Davy Bates Garrett and Minnie Lee Ruff Garrett; and brothers, Gaston Benjamin Garrett and Richard Ray Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Blanche Causey Garrett; children, Lynn DeBroeck and husband Barry, Nelda Bigby and husband Bill, Davy ?Jamie? Garrett and wife Jeri, and JoAnn Dean and wife Robin; grandchildren, Kim, Debbie, Freddie, Jennifer, Kelly, Lindsay, Katie, Christopher, Kasie, Hailey, Christopher, and Justin; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wiley Garrett and wife Ann, Davy Jones Garrett, and Walter Garrett and wife Patsy; sister-in-law, Charlotte Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Garrett, Walter Garrett, Davy Jones Garrett, Christopher Dean, Justin Dean and Christopher Leonard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Garrett, Michael Garrett, Clyde David Causey, Wiley Garrett, Trey Foster, Cory Foster, Bryan Foster, and Benjamin Garrett.
