Obituary of Zack Curtis
Guy "Zack" Curtis was a devoted husband, father, and NASCAR fan who spent his final years in Haughton, LA. Although he spent nearly 25 years in LA he called Las Vegas, NV home and Salinas CA his childhood playground. He passed away suddenly, as he hoped he would when his time came, which was on April 21, 2019.
He was married to Michele Curtis on August 28, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. They shared their lives for over 29 years after being set up on a blind date. They supported each other through every phase of life with committed to the marriage through love, friendship, faith and the occasional disagreement.
Zack moved to LA with his wife in May 1994 to work at the Casino where he made many friends and put down roots. He spent the last 10 years employed by DNOW in Shreveport. His passion was racing but mostly on the dirt with his motorcycle. As a young man in Salinas, CA he was known for getting sideways and going fast. His friends are family and many go back over 40 years. He is riding in Gods racetrack now. His last day was full of love, happiness and charity and left no words unsaid and no one with a regret. He was the patriarch of the Curtis family and now passed the torch to his brother, that we know will do him proud.
Visitation services celebrating the life of Zack Curtis will be held Thursday April 25, 2019 at First United Methodist Church 201 John Wesley, Bossier City, LA 71111. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
